Win £1000 and Help The Lamproom !!

The Lamproom Theatre has now been open for five years. During that time, finance has been raised from many sources, mainly through tickets sold to the thousands of people who have attended productions. Whilst the day-to-day running of The Lamproom is almost covered by income generated, there is no money left over for improvements to the building and the development of the artistic programme.

These areas of funding are currently being addressed, but there is one item of expenditure which is a huge drain on our finances – A MORTGAGE. The mortgage on The Lamproom is currently £60,000 and we are asking you to help us to pay it off as soon as possible. This will ensure the financial stability of The Lamproom and help us to plan for the future development of theatre provision in our town.

HOW DO I HELP – we hear you asking?

The proposed ‘100 Club’ is exactly what it’s name suggests – a Club of 100 supporters who join a lottery, the proceeds of which will be placed in a special ‘Lets Pay Off The Mortgage’ fund. Each member pays £5.00 per month by standing order. You can have as many numbers in the draw as you wish each month. The draw will take place during the first week of each month and the winners will automatically be notified by post. The prize will be £100 each month, but in December and June of each year the prize will be £1000 – can you afford NOT to join??

Places in the ‘100 Club’ are strictly limited, so please contact The Lamproom promptly for a standing order form to ensure that you can help your theatre and have a chance to win £1000!! The first draw will take place during the first week of August, when all the standing orders are in. This draw will be for July and August. All winning numbers will be published in The Barnsley Chronicle and on this website. A full set of rules will be forwarded to you upon receipt of your completed Standing Order Mandate.
