Great news for musical lovers- the madcap, goofy musical comedy, ‘Anything Goes’, is sailing into Barnsley!

The plot follows a brassy nightclub singer, a starry-eyed stowaway and Public Enemy Number 13, all booked onto a transatlantic luxury liner bound for romance, heartbreak and wacky tomfoolery.

Regular Lamproom performer Lee Caddick returns to play leading man, Billy Crocker in this Lamproom Musical Theatre Company production.  Most recently seen as Kipps in their previous production of ‘Half a Sixpence’, Lee is delighted to be bringing his dancing, singing and acting talents to such an iconic role.

Accompanying him aboard ship will be Lisa Kendall as sassy night-club singer Reno Sweeney.  Lisa from Holmfirth, is now a regular on the Lamproom Theatre stage, travelling a one-hour round trip, three times per week, in order to perform with the group.  Lisa says "The travelling time is worth it to perform with such an amazing bunch of people - not just for the quality of the shows being performed, but also to be part of the Lamproom Musical Theatre Company family.  I would highly recommend anybody, looking for a new hobby, to come and join in the fun."

Holly Lees, David Cooper, Wendy Prew, Sam Hyland and Kate Robinson make up the remaining principal cast; and with such strong actors taking the leading roles, new director, Cev Barker, is guaranteed a successful show.

So mark your calendars now and get ready to see this amazing show - billed as "hilarious and dynamic entertainment" by the New York Times.

'Anything Goes' sets sail at The Lamproom Theatre from Tuesday 7th May to Saturday 11th May.

It's fun, it's sexy, it's laugh-out-loud funny and it's absolutely one not to miss.
